The Ginault knock-off bracelet of the Rolex Glide-lock is a better bracelet than the other easily obtained knock-offs when it comes to the end links. Plus they add some better finishing. Unlike the commonly available ones, the Ginault end links' center tapers down and fits more flush and flowing with the end of the lugs. From my experience I'd have no problem recommending the 5 ginault bracelet as a way to get a near 6-digit Rolex bracelet experience on a 5 digit model. Certainly a more solid feeling and higher quality feeling bracelet than the old Rolex ones.
I like the stock Rolex oyster, but not with the polished center links (goes against my casual vibe - if I wanted bling, I’d put the jubilee on!). I found that the Ginault 94530g bracelet is a really good fit. Ginault uses a bracelet nearly identical to modern Submariner Oyster bracelets and their widely revered Glidelock clasp (read: toolless on-the-fly adjustment). Sizing is 20mm at the lugs with a taper down to 16mm at the clasp, making it very comfortable on wrist.
Enter the Ginault bracelet: opinions aside about Ginault, the bracelet manufacturing quality is STELLAR. The glide lock is fantastic and incredibly convenient. Fitting the end links to the case is a SOB, but once I finally got the spring bars in .The bracelet has screw-in pins to hold the links in place and makes it easy to size for your wrist. In addition to the pins, the functional slide lock adds another level to the bracelet’s adjustability. This is my first watch with a slide lock and I am totally hooked.
